This rope screen has been made by the artist Edward Crumpton. They were made using four different thicknesses of hand tarred marlin rope and stretch onto a charred pine rectangle. Edward created a tessellated pattern with the rope, inspired by the structures of salt crystals found in Lymington Salt Marsh; a place where The Observatory buildings were located. This pattern was then knotted further to reveal the positive and negative cube shapes in the rope screen. Spinning this sculpture brings a three-dimensional form of salt crystals to the artwork as well as creates interesting shadow lines around the space.

With the exception of any Commissions or other Made to Order Artwork, once you have received your artwork there is a period of 14 days in which you may change your mind about the purchase and notify ArtMakers in writing by email to admin@artmakers.uk that you wish to return the work and claim a refund. You then have a further 14 days in which to return the work to the artist unused, in the same condition in which it was received and in its original packaging.
Full Refunds are dependent on returned Artwork being received in the same condition as it was sent. See FAQ’s and ArtMakers’ Buyer Terms and Conditions Paragraphs 9-12 for more details.

A: In the UK we expect all work to be delivered within 7-10 days. In most cases it is considerably less than this. Please use our website message system to contact the artist or maker if you have a specific delivery request. Delivery times outside the UK, will depend on the method of delivery and any customs issues.
A: You have 14 days to change your mind about your purchase and notify ArtMakers in writing by sending an email to us at admin@artmakers.uk to say that you wish to return your artwork. You then have a further 14 days to send the artwork back to the artist (See also the note under Returns above and ArtMakers’ Buyer Terms and Conditions Paragraphs 9-12
A: In most circumstances, you the Buyer would be responsible for paying any return shipping.
A: Please photograph any damage to packaging and/or artwork and send to ArtMakers at admin@artmakers.uk explaining the problem. A senior member of the team will then contact you to agree the next steps.
