1. If the Artwork is damaged when you receive it:
Artworks, when despatched by the artists, are sent by courier or by other registered method of delivery.
If the artwork has been damaged in transit when delivered to you:
- Please tell us within 48 hours by contacting us at admin@ArtMakers.uk or by telephoning us at 01271 860996 so that we can record details of the problem and advise you further.
- Please take photographs of any damage to both the artwork and its admin@ArtMakers.uk
- We will then assess the damage and agree with you how to proceed.
- PLEASE RETAIN BOTH ARTWORK AND PACKAGING IN THE CONDITION IN WHICH IT WAS RECEIVED, UNTIL OTHERWISE ADVISED BY ARTMAKERS OR THE ARTIST, AS IT MAY NEED TO BE INSPECTED BY THE COURIER COMPANY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY. Failure to retain artwork and packaging may invalidate any refund claim.
2. If an artwork returned by you within 14 days is damaged when received by the Artist:
- The artist will advise you and ArtMakers within 48 hours of receipt
- The artist will take photographs of any damage to both the artwork and its packaging and send to you and to ArtMakers
- You may be asked to contact your courier to claim against their insurance
- We will assess the circumstances and review refund entitlements
If an artwork does not arrive:
This has never happened so far and artworks usually arrive within 14 days of you making your order.
However in the unlikely event that it does happen: please contact us at admin@ArtMakers.uk so we can investigate and advise you further. We will keep in touch with you every step of the way.
How our system works (so you know what should happen):
As soon as an artwork has been purchased, ArtMakers informs the artist and they will then package the work and arrange for delivery.
Artists are required to send artworks by a recognised courier or other postal delivery service and provide tracking details.
When an artwork is on its way to you:
- You will receive an email from us confirming that the artwork is in the process of delivery.
- The artwork should then arrive within 3-5 days depending on the delivery service being used.
- You may be asked to contact your courier to claim against their insurance
- We will assess the circumstances and review refund entitlements
FAQs For Artists
The two types reflect our focus on North Devon for our sales and promotion work. This is to ensure the work of ArtMakers members is not lost in a massive UK or global site. It also shows our confidence in the quality of the ‘New Atlantic Wave’ work to be equal to other online sites.
The second support type is to allow artists and makers in the UK, and globally, to benefit from our extensive information base, attend events and obtain one-to-one support.

For Shipping outside the UK you will be asked to provide a quote for shipping to their country and they will pay you directly for these costs before you send the artwork.
Payments will usually be made at the end of each month for all transactions confirmed as complete during that month.
You will receive the shipping payment in full.
In order to keep costs to our members as low as possible, we have decided not to register for VAT until we reach a turnover close to the Government required limit. We therefore do not currently charge VAT to artists on either membership fees or on Commission income.
When it comes time for us to register for VAT – we will notify you and we will need to start charging VAT on commission from that time
