Artist Bio: Rosie had been making and selling her work for over 3 decades, she's 49. She trained in Archaeological illustration, published drawings within the field, and completed a degree in Archaeology and Sociology in the mid 1990s. After qualifying to teach Art and Design, she spent 7 years teaching Art in a secondary boys school in Jersey Channel Islands, UK, she went on to teach in many and various educational establishments, both in the UK and internationally. Summer 2023 marked the opening of studios with her partner: Rosie and Red Art and Leather. She exhibits with a number of small galleries across the UK, supplementing sales with community and studio based teaching. Most recently Rosie has participated in many local exhbitions and events in North Devon, alongside exhibiting work with SHIM in an exquisite corpse exhibiton at the 2024 Venince Bienial, become a regular exhibitor with Artizan Gallery in Torquay and had work selected by the RE, Bankside Gallery London, for their annual small original print exhibition Small But Mighty. She is prolific and fruity, a painter and printmaker, a magpie for collecting images. Her work is often concerned with water, skies, environmental musings and the human form. There is a dichotomy in style and intention between her landscape and figurative work. Rosie, like Picasso, is delightfully dyslexic.
