Alison Nicholson

I am a textile and mixed media artist, with a Degree in Fine Art.   My work expresses my response to the natural world using textile techniques, paint and on occasion, unorthodox materials.   Above all I strive for beauty as essentially, my work is a celebration of life.   I have held solo exhibitions and am a full member of the Westward Ho! & Bideford Art Society who produce the annual open exhibition at the Burton Gallery, Bideford.

I was a member of the South West Textile Group exhibiting all over the South West and in Birmingham and London.   My soft sculptures have been exhibited at Sir Harald Hillier Gardens in Hampshire.

I have spent several years on the committes of North Devon Arts, The Westward Ho!, & Bideford Art Society and The South West Textile Group
