An art exhibition by members of the New Atlantic Wave will be held at the Art Upstairs gallery, 1st floor, 24 The Quay, Bideford EX39 2EZ from 24th July to 2nd September. Works by the New Atlantic Wave group of artists and makers, the third largest group of visual artists in England, will reflect the various styles and approaches in Turner’s works in a contemporary way. The exhibition will be selected from over 180 local artists and makers living and working in north Devon and take a contemporary view of the landscapes and imagination, inspired by Turner’s family history, and his own visits to the area in the early 19th century.
