Two workshops with Textile Artist Alison Nicholson Saturday - Using the technique of felting, make flowers using wool tops, silk fabric and silk threads and beads which can be used to make a necklace or as the flower centre. Sunday - Embellish the flowers and/or make necklaces using beads, stitch, wire etc. Alison will also demonstrate how water soluble fabric can be stitched on to create a lovely lacy effect for the flowers or used in a multitude of different ways. Alison is a local artist who works in textiles and mixed media. Her work has been in national exhibitions but mostly in the South West. She has taught at the Twisted Thread Textile Fairs at Olympia and Alexandra Palace.
