Decoupage is the art of using coloured paper, and applying it to objects and surfaces to create decoration often of flowers, and other natural objects. “(Sharon)Really inspired me to realise I have hidden talent” - workshop participant Decoupage was started in the UK by Mary Delaney in the 1700's. In her Seventies she started working with cut out pieces of paper to create superb botanical images. Thousands of her works can be found in the British Museum. This became a popular art form in the Victoria era and would have been practiced at Arlington Court. All materials for this workshop will be provided and are included in the price. There is a cafe on site and accessible toilets. Registering for this workshop gives you free access to Arlington Court for the day.
