Following the success of last year's design for the Book Festival Programme cover, the Festival is again offering an opportunity for local artists to gain invaluable exposure across the local art scene and beyond. THE WINNER/WINNING ART WILL: • Be featured on the front cover of the Appledore Book Festival 2023 Events Brochure (5,000+ printed copies) • Appear on the Appledore Book Festival website & on social media platforms • Be on display at the art exhibition and for auction during the Festival in September (proceeds split 70/30, Artist/Festival) • Get free entry for up to 3 additional works in the ArtMakers Festival Art Exhibition • Be included in the ArtMakers Festival virtual gallery exhibition until the end of October ‘23 • Be promoted throughout local galleries and art organisations GUIDELINES & CRITERIA • Submitted art needs to reflect the Festival’s coastal location • Original artwork to be at least 50cm x 50cm • the full image or a substantial extract must be suitable for use as the A5 Festival Brochure A5, allowing for a header & footer branded design • Artists must live or work in Torridge or North Devon Please submit your outline idea digitally in the form of a sketch concept proposal, including an idea for layout of the A5 Brochure cover, and send by email to: admin@artmakers.uk TIMETABLE AND IMPORTANT DATES Submit Concept Proposal: Friday 28th April 2023 Notification of Winner: Tuesday 2nd May 2023 Final Artwork Delivery: Monday 5th June 2023 Contact admin@artmakers.uk for more information or see details below.
