Louise Bird Artist

I have been an artist for all of my life. Training and working as an illustrator for a decade, I then moved into portraiture after having my children.

I've moved several times; Birmingham; the Cotswolds; Qatar in the Middle East and now Devon. Each move has had an impact on my work and now settled in Devon I am finally making paintings for myself along with my commissioned pieces.

I have always been interested in painting people and the figure. My most recent work has focussed on the traditional 'nude' but with a contemporary edge.
